BOARD OF DIRECTORS RECOGNIZES HELEN DOUGHTIE AS BRIARMEADOW NEIGHBOR OF THE YEAR
The Briarmeadow HOA Board of Directors is pleased to present Helen Doughtie with its award for Briarmeadow's Neighbor of the Year. Helen has been our volunteer Social Director, planning and organizing all of our social events (the Volunteer Recognition Dinner, Easter Egg Hunt and Party, National Night Out and Fall Festival, and the Patrol Officer's Holiday Baskets just to name a few). With her five young children, her position on the Briarmeadow Family Co-Op, and her volunteer activities at St. Michael Catholic School, we are not sure how she finds the time for us, but we sure do appreciate it. THANKS HELEN!!

This Holiday Season, protect yourself, your family and your property against criminals wishing to do you harm. Know your surroundings and don’t become a target. It’s up to YOU to make sure that a criminal does not have the opportunity to take advantage of you and your family...

Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety & Laws |
|
Wednesday, 05 November 2008 |
With the cooler weather we are experiencing, many Briarmeadow residents are taking to the streets to ride, walk and jog. In order to keep us all safe, please take a moment to review some of the basics of Bicycle & Pedestrian Safety & Laws. These simple rules help us all avoid serious injury.
Pedestrians are required by law to walk or jog on the LEFT side of the road FACING OPPOSING TRAFFIC.
Bicycles are required by law to ride on the RIGHT side of the road RIDING WITH TRAFFIC.
All operators of motor vehicles are asked to slow down and be observant at all times when driving in Briarmeadow, looking specifically for pedestrians and cyclists. Please be particularly attentive when backing out of your driveway. And please park on the correct side of the street (facing the direction of travel) and be careful when leaving a parking space.
