New HOA Board Members Needed

The Briarmeadow Homeowners' Association holds its Annual Meeting the second Tuesday of October (this year, it will be on October 13 at 8:00 p.m.). The customary election of directors is part of the agenda for the meeting. Four seats will be vacated at the end of the term and need to be filled by new directors. Each term is for three (3) years.

Residents interested in running for a seat on the Board must provide a biography (emailed to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  or mailed to KRJ Management) to be received by Friday, September 11, not to exceed 250 words. Your biography will be included in the Annual Packet to be distributed in late September. We encourage all residents who wish to make a difference in the neighborhood to run for a Board position. The only requirements to get on the ballot are that you are a Briarmeadow home owner and are current in the payment of your annual maintenance charges.

NEED HELP Planning National Night Out

With the resignation and relocation of Debbie Goldstein, our former Social Director, we find ourselves with no one to plan our National Night Out (scheduled in Texas for October 7). Helen Doughtie did such a wonderful job of organizing this event last year, we would like to find someone in the neighborhood willing to build on her experiences and contacts and do the planning for this year’s event. If you are interested in planning this event (or working on a committee of people), please reply to this email ASAP. Without someone stepping up in a hurry, we will not be able to host a National Night Out in Briarmeadow.

2009 BM Wilde West Stingray Swim Team

The Briarmeadow Wilde West Stingrays 2009 Season was a big success. Our outstanding coaching staff led the 75 plus member team to a near undefeated season. The weather was good to us this year and we were able to compete in all scheduled meets, taking all of them, with the exception of 2, with decisive victories. Our only loss this year was toour long time rivals Southside All Stars, with a point difference of less than 20 points...
